Practice makes Perfect !!

Happy Friday, Guys !! We have so much to catch up on. I hope all of you enjoyed the holidays and I hope you are gearing up for a great new year !! I know I certainly am. I took several weeks off from performing to spend time with my family. Honestly, it was long overdue. I did, however, continue to write, write, write more new music !!! I can't wait to share it with you. :)

I am taking several music classes, including music theory right now. I also take piano and guitar lessons. Sometimes, I get so frustrated if I can't easily learn something new. I'm impatient like that. I like to learn things quickly so I can move on to the next thing. Hahaha. However, to master something, you have to really work at it. Over and over again. As generic as it sounds, practice really does make perfect.

Whenever I'm writing a new song, you have no idea how much erasing and editing I do to make it become what I feel it should be. And, once the song is written, the true hard work begins. Practice, practice, practice !!! Sometimes a new guitar or ukulele chord may take me days or even weeks to become comfortable with it. Same thing with strumming patterns. I'll never forget when I was learning the "Down, down, Up Up, Down up" strumming pattern. I think I even threw my uke a few times. Lol. I got so frustrated. But, I just kept at it and you know what ?? One day, I played it perfectly. And, then I had it mastered !!

So, I want to encourage all of you to never give up just because something is difficult.

Keep practicing over and over again. You will eventually master it. :) Try to tell yourself that it's okay if you don't master it in an hour, or a day, or even a week. You will eventually get there !!! :)

Also, I wanted to let you guys know that I will be adding new merch to my website very very soon !!! I am so super excited !! So, be on the lookout !!
